In the Planner application when I have an item selected in the 'detail' section I select "Reminder".
There are two dropdown boxes with times listed. One is under the checkbox and one is above the checkbox. I'm unclear on if they're both needed and if they have separate functions, what they are. |

The first one is for Reminder alert within the application and the one after the checkbox is to specify the time at which you want to be emailed the reminder.
The can both be set simultaneously for different times. You can set their default times from the Options dialog.
