Leecho,
Are you pasting in the Scrybe Clipboard or are you pasting in the Notes area?
When you paste HTML text in the Notes area, Scrybe clipboard becomes active and prompts you to paste again, so that HTML text is pasted with links and image references..
Hope this helps.

Here are some experiences of my own, to do with cut and pasting. I don't get exactly the same behavior as Leecho, but wanted to keep similar topics together in 1 thread.
SYSTEM SPECS:
OS: Windows XP SP2
Browser: Firefox 2.0.0.4
Scrybe: Actually, Ive got no idea how to find out which build I have.
TOPIC:
Editing an existing note by using cut and paste.
SUMMARY:
Pasting (crtl-V) into an existing thoughtpad note usually inserts the text at the end of the page (rather than where I placed it) and always sends the cursor to the end of all text in the page. Feels counter-intuitive. Other strange behaviors also occur.
I'm interested to hear if this is just me. Also if this is user error (see description below).
STEPS TO REPRODUCE(STR):
1) Open an existing note in thoughtpad
2) Highlight a single word of text in what you have previously written.
3) Copy this text with ctrl-c (Windows)
4) Use the mouse to insert the cursor somewhere in the middle of your text. For example, at the end of a paragraph, halfway through a document.
5) Paste this text with ctrl-v
-> See following description for outcome (varies)
DESCRIPTION OF ISSUE
I'm going to discuss this as if it was usability testing. Therefore it's quite long, so you can ignore this part unless you're particularly interested in the user process.
I undertook the above STR because of my prior experiences as a user of Windows environments and applications. The intended outcome is to have the pasted text appear where I placed the cursor, and for the cursor to appear after the text I have just inserted.
I get ONE of THREE unexpected outcomes however:
1) The pasted content is inserted after the very last word on the page (same line). Cursor appears at the bottom of the note on a new line.
2) The pasted content is inserted on the next line immediately below the last word on the page. (this seems most common). Cursor is at bottom of page.
3) The pasted content appears where I expect it, but the cursor is sent to the end of the note.
To me the behavior is counterintuitive, and frustratingly it seems random (I just haven't worked out what conditions make it do outcome 1 vs outcome 2 yet).
-->Workaround: I find that if I click to another tab in Firefox, then return to the Scribe tab immediately, I am able to ctrl-v at the cursor location I want, and the copied text consistently appears where I expect it to. HOWEVER the cursor is still sent to the end of the note.
So I ask, is anyone else experiencing these behavior and outcomes?
Is everyone approaching this (as a new user) in the same way?
After having this experience I then noticed on the right hand side the Scribe Clipboard (I also now see you've referred to this in your reply above Sabika).
As a new user however I am a bit confused as to it's purpose. Here's the process I went through.
1) Read the instructions. Saw that it was for web content, but thought I'd try to see what happens if I copy something from the page and put it in this textbox.
2) Used ctrl-c to pick something up off the page (1 word). YAY! I see that it automatically appears in the textbox. This feels right.
2b) -> I can't replicate this on demand yet, but sometimes I see the the textbox showing whole paragraphs that I haven't selected. However ctrl-v still only pastes in the single word. I THINK it may only occur if I am pasting in content (like a web address) that I have copied from another tab/page.
3) I place the cursor where I want the text to appear and ctrl-v. I get outcome 1 or 2 as described above.
So this didn't seem to add any value am I am left confused as to the purpose of this text box. Whenever I paste in text (e.g. a hyperlink I have picked up from the address bar on another tab of Firefox) into the clipboard textbox, it appears at the end of note as well (still not what I was trying to achieve).
So yeah, may be a user error on my part (or misinterpretation of intended function), but that's why I wrote it up as a usability review rather than a strict bug |

Thank you for reporting this bug in such detail. We are able to replicate this on our end and will fix it soon.
