OS type and version
Linux 2.6.20-16-generic, Ubuntu Feisty 7.04
Browser type and version
Firefox 2.0.0.6
Flash Player version
Flash 9.0 r48
Screen resolution
1024X768
Here's what happens:
1. In the Day view, I select a time, let's say from 5pm-6pm. It gets highlighted and I do see the description that says I can start typing something.
2. I type the event. Example: Dinner
3. I press Enter, but it doesn't add the event to the selected time.
4. This is what happens in detail: Right after pressing Enter, I see "Connecting" at the top, and then it disappears really fast (which I'd assume means it does connect fine since I don't get any other messages afterwards). Then, nothing is added to the day. The event I had just typed is gone and I can't select any area of the Day anymore. I have to go to a different view and then go back to Day view to be able to select anything again.
I tried a few variations of this. When typing the event, although I had highlighted the correct time, I'd type "Dinner at 5pm" and I got the same results. I also tried "Dinner at 5" and I got the same results as well.
Just so you know, I can add events by clicking on the "New Event" link and also through the Month view when I click on "Add." However, I'd really like to be able to do it through the Day view as well. |

Rebeca,
I followed all your steps and I was able to add Dinner with the same OS, browser and Flash version you are using.

Can you please let us know if you have unchecked any of the calendars from the collections panel, specifically General?
Thanks,

Sabika,
I was able to duplicate Rebeca's issue by removing the check box next to my General calendar in the collections window. When I turned General back on my entry showed up.
Hopefully this is Rebeca's issue.

Yes, I had unchecked General. And, just like David, after I checked it, the entries were there. (I also received the reminders for them.)
Thank you for helping me find the problem so fast.
Is there any way I can make the other calendar the default one, so when I add something it'll be added to it instead of General? |

At this point no, but we are looking into adding an option to choose calendar defaults. Will update you on this once the option is added.
Thanks,
