Migrating from Outlook / Google Calendar if it was possible to import .ical or .csv files as calendars into Scrybe. It would make migrating over to the new services much easier, and I don't think it would be very difficult.

You can already import iCal and CSV files into Scrybe. This was initially planned for Phase 3, but on popular request we temporarily added this feature through event details.

Click on an event, and in the details panel, click Publish and then import.

In Phase 3, once multiple calendar management is introduced, it will become straightforward.

I just joined sccrybe. I want to import my ical files from yahoo calendar. But in my "detail" screen in scrybe there is no PUBLISH option--neither in Firefox nor IE. What am I missing?

That was a temporary location for getting the Import functionality.
Now,

1. Click on the grey arrow at the left edge of your Calendar area.
You calendars display in the Collections pane.

2. Click Import.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,
Sabika

What about embedding third-party iCal calendar into Scrybe? With two-way interaction.

Lets say, primary source is Google Calendar (with it's own multiple sync directions), and Scrybe is a client to this calendar (able to CRUD calendar events).

As for import - ability both to upload local ical file and provide url of this file.
Again, add "embed" feauture.

Thanks for this.

FYI ... the gray arrow on the left was a tad obscure to figure out ...

I seem to have some problem importing. When i press import nothing happens! What am i doing wrong?
By the way, the idea about syncing with google calendar or using scrybe as a interface for google calendar is just great. Im sharing calendar with some friends over google calendar and to be able to get them into scrybe would be awesome!

Hi Henrik--

Are you able to see a live Import link?

When you click it a new window showing Import options opens. Are you able to see this?

Thank you,
Saj

Do you have any pop-up blockers installed?

Thanks,

When (??!? Very Happy ) multiple labels for a single item are available, it would be great to map these from Outlook Categories inthe CSV import.

And even to map changes only (or have a "clear all" function)

I have a similar problem. I have created an export .ics file from ZYB. When I select this file which is on my desktop inside the import function in Scrybe I get a nice friendly message from Scrybe saying "File is Uploading... Please wait". I have tried several times and even left online over night. It never goes away and my calander is not imported.

Is this a case of a bug in either ZYB or Scrybe or both? In any case it seems that Scrybe does not parse the file or have any traps for time-out.

Has anyone managed to import a calander into Scrybe? What format works?

Thanks.

Thomas

Is there plans to be able to sync with ical or outlook rather then imports?

So far the only issue i have with importing is that if i import the same info twice scrybe will import regardless if it is a duplicate.

Nico.. that is obviously no good. They need to be able to sync.

But you are able to import. From what format?

Hi Thomas--

Would it be possible for you to send us your exported .ics file feedback[at]iscrybe[dot]com so that we are able to investigate this issue?

Thank you,
Saj

Saj, I have emailed you the file.

Thanks nico for comment. You seem to have your stars lined up..

It would be great to combine the cell phone features of Zyb with the power and coolness of Scrybe...

I want to ditto the request on the syncing w/ iCal, which I need to use for work.

I also want to have a way to delete all the events in the general calendar, as I made the mistake and imported my ical into that, but now i have updates and have to either duplicate everything, individually delete everything, or individually add every single update.

Another ditto from me.

For someone who lives in Outlook at work, this is THE killer.

I could live with the .csv import IF THERE WERE SOME WAY to Mass Delete my "outlook" label/calendar in scrybe. But deleting the entire future calendar item by item before each load is simply not an option.

Nice to haves would be:
- mapping from category to label
- multiple labels
- csv import to the task list
- with category and due date mappings
- export to outlook of a label/calendar

But I could live with a mass delete, category delete or even clear all function.
