It's not a bug so much as a non-consideration of all circumstances when filling out the security question during registration. Apostrophes aren't allowed, though they can make the process easier in some situations. For example: My question:
First cat's name:
as opposed to the proper
What is the name of my first cat?
The obvious workaround is to simply remove the apostrophe, considering I don't really care and probably won't ever see it again, but it creates an extra step during signup if someone tries to use one.
There was a similar annoyance with the last name field containing spaces and the worry of sql injection, so hopefully you can figure out how to parse the input to avoid that.
not that it matters:
- Windows XP SP2
- Firefox 2.0.0.6
- Flash 9

Special characters are not allowed for security purposes at this time and is documented as a known issue. This may be revised after the completion of the beta.
Thanks,
