Here is the work-around for IE7, fear not, it's easier than it looks.
Short version:
Replace the URL in the link shortcut with the code at the end of this post.
Detailed version
1. Go to:
http://iscrybe.com/main/bookmarklet.html
2. If the links toolbar is not displayed, right click on top of the browser, where
the icons are. Click on "Links" so that the links tool bar is displayed.
3. Look in the URL box, to the left of the URL ("http://iscrybe.com/main/bookmarklet.html") there is a little icon.
Drag that little icon to the links bar.
What is the links bar?
When you first installed IE 7 it came with several links: "Free Hotmail" "Customize Links" etc. Drag the little icon and when the cursor changes drop
it on that links bar.
4.On the web page right click on the "Scrybe Bookmarklet" link (the one to the left of the "Drag this link to your browser's toolbar" arrow.). Copy that link ("copy shortcut") --- or just copy the code below.
5. Right click on the link you created in the links toolbar and click on properties.
6. Select the "Web Document" tab in the properties windows and paste the code into the URL box. Close the properties window... IE will complain about the javascript but select yes or ok or whatever and it should work unless you have additional security.
Let me know if you have probs or Q's...

Thanks for the reply....I do have a question that are probably too simple: I don't understand what the Links Bar is? I don't have anything that says 'Free Hotmail' 'Customze Links'? All I seem to have is where the Tabs of each page appear?

I think I followed your instructions. In fact, I did it both ways, copying the shortcut and putting it into the properties URL and, when that didn't work, copying the code.
The link works fine, but what I can't do is move it to any of the toolbars.
I'm using IE 7 with A bunch of google stuff. No matter where I try to move the icon from the links bar, it says, in effect, not here, buddy. There's one or two places...unlikely...that seem to take it but all that does is open the box not put the icon on the bar.
Arghhhhhhh. Any other thoughts?
Update: I had asked this question on another thread, but is the scrybe icon supposed to sit alone on one of the toolbars or do you have to move the links tool bar far enough to reveal the scrybe icon? If it's the latter, I've got it.

Great instructions. I do not use IE 7 but I wanted to test it out.
I had no issues.
Here is how I played around with FF2 and IE7 and Scrybe. While logged into Scrybe with FF2 I tested Bookmarklet in IE7. I had to login of course since IE7 was not logged in. I tested it a few times and after the first entry of user id and password IE7 remembered me the as to be expected. Everything worked as expected. I like this program more and more each day.
