Here in no particular order are my thoughts on thoughtpad (no pun intended).
The Scrybe Bookmarklet. It doesn't close by itself after the update is complete. I was expecting that as normal behavior, and sat waiting for a bit before I realized it wasn't going to. Seems like a bit of a pain to close manually.
Thoughtpad Titles. The bolded font for titles seems very blocky. Not sure if there is anything you can do, but it's worth mentioning.
You must drag and drop notes to the label to assign a label, but you can't drag and drop to re-order. It took me a while to figure out you have to right-click.
Export. I can't find a way to export the notes out of Thoughtpad. While it's not a big deal for now, it would be a nice option to be able to export to word, html, or some sort of file.
The ability to link it to events sounds like a great feature, and a way to link things back to the planner.
It only allows the document to be the length of a full column, and then shows "double click to view more", but the columns do allow wrapping. It would be nice to view the whole thing without editing the note.
I really like that it links back to the source page (if from the bookmarklet), and provides that under both the note and imported pictures.
It would be nice for the ability to combine the planner papersync with the Thoughtpad papersync. The easiest way I can think of to do this would be to choose which label to include.
It would be nice to allow you to assign a note to multiple labels. In effect, duplicating it, with changes to one updating the other.
That's all I have right now. |

Could you please do us a favor and play around with the ThoughtPad on 1024X768 screen resolution. Just enough to assess whether viewing and browsing notes is more pleasant on that resolution and font size. |

Sabika, that's exactly right.
I was viewing at 1280 x 1024 and the title was very blocky. When viewed at 1024 x 768, it is a lot smoother.
I had the best of both worlds briefly when I changed the resolution back from 1280 to 1024 and kept Firefox open. Of course, when I closed Firefox, it reverted right back. |

If you put your cursor anywhere on a note (both when editing a note or when you are just viewing it), and press CTRL+C, the whole note with links and images, is copied, and you can paste it anywhere, e.g. a word document etc.
We understand that this is a hidden feature at this point, but we are working on addressing this issue.
Hope this helps for now.

Sorry, I wasn't being clear. It would be nice to be able to export a collection of notes (notes by label).
For example, I collected a bunch of information under the Wedding label. Then, the ceremony is done, so I don't need to access anymore in Scrybe, but I would like to save all the information for posterity's sake.
Rather then copy and paste each note, I'd like the option to be able to export the collection, prior to deleting the label and contents.
Hope this clarifies it a bit. |
