Here is what all you can do in the Calendars pop-out pane.
--How do I add a new Calendar?--
1. Log on to Scrybe.
2. Click on the grey arrow at the left edge of your Calendar area.
You calendars display in the pop-out pane.
3. Select any calendar and click the arrow at left of the calendar name.
4. Select New from the drop-down menu.
A new calendar adds to your Calendars pane.
5. Enter an appropriate label (name) for the calendar.
6. Select the new calendar and click the arrow at left of the calendar name to display the drop-down menu.
7. In the color sub-menu select a color from the available options.
All events marked with this calendar label will display in the selected color. This option is available for quick identification of events of multiple calendars in your workspace.
--How do I share a Calendar?--
1. Log on to Scrybe.
2. Click on the grey arrow at the left edge of your Calendar area.
You calendars display in the pop-out pane.
3. Select an existing calendar or add a new one.
4. Click Share with your contacts.
5. Click Contacts to import your address book from any service.
Your contacts are now available within Scrybe and can be entered using the autocomplete function. Just type in the first few letters and see all matching contacts in your list.
6. Add a contact and click Update.
Each calendar can be shared with a maximum of 20 contacts.
You can share your thoughtstream by following the same procedure.
To share your task lists, select a list and select sharing options in the same way in the Details pane.
--How do I import iCal and CSV files to move your personal data to Scrybe?--
1. Log on to Scrybe.
2. Click on the grey arrow at the left edge of your Calendar area.
You calendars display in the pop-out pane.
3. Click Import.
The import window opens.
4. Browse to select your data file, select a label and a date format.
5. Click Import.
Note: To avoid removing a large number of events individually, always import your external calendars under a new or appropriate label that is not your default calendar, General. All calendars can be deleted in their entirety except for the General, default calendar. Imported events in the General calendar will have to be deleted individually.
Note: Outlook’s repeated events are stored as multiple entries in CSV files. Before exporting your Outlook calendar, turn off repeating events and set up repeat properties in Scrybe.
Note: When you import a calendar the default reminder settings (available in Options) under Reminder Defaults are automatically applied to your events and these would have to be removed individually. It is recommended that you remove Reminder Default settings before importing a calendar.
--How do I export a calendar in iCal format?--
1. Log on to Scrybe.
2. Click on the grey arrow at the left edge of your Calendar area.
You calendars display in the pop-out pane.
3. Select any calendar and click the arrow at left of the calendar name.
4. Select Export from the drop-down menu.
The export dialog opens.
5. Save the selected calendar to your disk drive or open in a compatible application. |

Specifically, how do I import stuff from my Yahoo calendar? I am a completely new user so sorry for my general ignorance. Also, it is very important to me that I don't lose repeated items. I have birthdays, anniversaries and business things in the Yahoo calendar and it would be a disaster to lose them (this is why I still use Yahoo and didn't switch to Google calendar when it came out).

This is a very helpful thread. Unfortunately, I imported my calendar from entourage (via iCal) before reading it. I imported with reminders and repeat events into my General Calendar. Now, every time I log in I have to press OK > 100 times to clear the "reminder conflicts" and then I'm faced with a flickering screen and a neverending prompt to save local data for Flash. IOW, my iscrybe is completely unusable
Can you clear my calendar behind the scenes or even clear my whole account so I can start over?

| With a shared calendar, is it possible to prevent those you've shared it with from editing it within scrybe? Currently it seems they cant add new appointments but they can change existing ones. Is there any way of locking them? |

I seem to have problems with daylight saving time in Outlook. The Outlook calendar looks OK, but some appointments from some foreign people get exported to the wrong time.
This is a showstopper for me: when will we see a clean synch? |

Is there plans in the works for Syncing with Google Calendar. While Scrybe is my only tool for organizing. Google is the preferred of my coworkers and i need to sync their shared calendars which is on My google Calendar. Currently i have to sync my Google Calendar with my iCal on mac, then save ical file and import into scrybe. Quite cumbersome
Any ideas?

syncing with google should be the number one priority.
There is a real danger that when google calendar fully integrates task lists and makes google gears more user freindly you will see a mass exodus from scrybe to google.
With simple syncing that danger disappears and the undeniable strengths of scrybe - superior graphic outlay etc etc put it well ahead of google. You need to act quickly though. |

It should be possible to import an URL and not just a file. A lot of us use other online tools (nozbe, google calendar, etc.) and it would be great if Scrybe could 'listen to' changes in those tools and automatically pick them up and add them to the calendar.
